Nanyang Normal University

Nanyang Normal University , founded in 1951,is situated on Wolong Hill, in the western part of the well-known historical and cultural city of Nanyang . And it is the only undergraduate institute in the south-west part of Henan Province. The university covers an area of 1200 mu, with a total floor space of 360,000 square meters and the total assets of teaching equipment amount to 48 million yuan. There are 50 special laboratories, a number of multi-media classrooms and electronic reading-rooms, with a campus computer work net covering the whole teaching and living areas linked to the internet. The college has fifteen labs ， more than 70 branch labs. All the labs occupy 11239 square meters. And all the equipments together cost nearly 50 million yuan.  The labs can meet the needs of various teaching activities.

There are 15 departments and 45 majors in the university, with other institutes such as further education university, modern education technology center and vocational education center. The university has also set up a number of scientific research institutes such as the Han Dynasty Culture Research Center of Henan Province , Nanyang Sustainable Development Research Center and the University Journal-Academic Forum of Nandu which is widely issued both at home and abroad and has become considerably well-know among other universities. The university recruits students from nearly 25 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions and has now more than 15,000 full-time students and 8,000 adult students. The university has signed long-term contracts with several key institutes at home and abroad and is now a graduate's training base of China 's Academy of Agricultural Science . Since it was founded, the university has trained 40,000 graduates of all kinds for the country, developed greatly in teaching, scientific research, management, party building, ideology and politics education and has been commended and awarded by higher authorities.
